Another Inpainting Update
Published: December 10, 2024
It’s a new week, and that means there’s yet another new image generation model being announced. It’s hard to keep up with it y’all – but that’s what I do here at ColorBliss.
I’ve added a new, advanced inpainting model, which promises to be the current state of the art.
Let’s see it in action.
Here’s my starting prompt and image:
A whimsical close-up portrait of a wise old owl, featuring large, expressive eyes and intricate feather details, positioned at a slight angle. Surrounding the owl is an enchanted garden filled with oversized flowers, showcasing playful, exaggerated shapes and patterns. The garden is abundant with various delightful flora, adding to the magical atmosphere, set against a blank background to emphasize the enchanting scene.
Next, I used the inpainting tab (paintbrush icon -> Inpainting), to erase the head of the owl. I used the prompt:
frightening owl, looks a little like an alien
here is the output:
much more frightening.
Next, I went back to our first image, erased some of the white space above it and prompted:
soft fluffy clouds
and there we go – we got soft fluffy clouds added:
One last example – I wanted to see if I could do something interesting with the owl’s eyes. I erased around the eyes and for my prompt used:
eyes are intricate mandalas
Pretty cool I think!
Changing Objects
Here’s some more examples.
My starter page + prompt:
He-Man is in a bright, cheerful kitchen, preparing a hearty breakfast. The scene includes a stovetop with a skillet sizzling with eggs and bacon, while a stack of pancakes is waiting to be drizzled with syrup. He-Man is wearing an apron over his traditional attire, with his sword resting nearby on the counter. The kitchen is filled with vibrant pots, pans, and utensils, and in the background, there’s a window showing a sunny morning outside. Fun details like a cat and fluffy dog are watching him curiously, adding a playful element to the scene.
Replace the sword and hand
First, I erased the sword, and prompted:
a baseball bat
And there we go – we got a baseball bat!
