Spider-Gwen Rooftop Leap Coloring Page
Not quite what you're looking for?
Make your ownSpider-Gwen mid-leap captures that dynamic moment where she’s suspended between buildings, her signature hood flowing behind her. The rooftop setting gives you architectural details to work with alongside her iconic costume, creating interesting contrast between hard edges and flowing fabric. This scene practically begs you to experiment with motion and energy in your coloring choices.
What colors work best?
Her classic suit uses white as the base with bold cyan and magenta accents, but you can absolutely play around with the shading. Try cool grays or even pale blues for the white sections to give them dimension. The hood interior traditionally shows that hot pink, which pairs beautifully with deeper purples in the shadows. For the background, golden hour oranges and warm yellows create stunning contrast against her cool-toned suit, or go moody with deep indigos and purples for a nighttime scene. The rooftop itself works well in weathered grays, rust-touched browns, or even unexpected teals for a stylized look.
Did you know?
Spider-Gwen, or Ghost-Spider as she’s also called, comes from an alternate universe where Gwen Stacy got the spider bite instead of Peter Parker. Her character debuted in 2014 and became so instantly popular that she got her own comic series within a year. The design of her suit was partly inspired by a fan’s concept art, which is pretty rare in mainstream comics.
How to color this one
Colored pencils work beautifully here since you can layer them to show the fabric texture of her suit versus the rough brick of rooftops. Use directional strokes that follow her movement to emphasize the leap. For the webbing details on her suit, a white gel pen over colored areas creates that raised texture effect. If you’re using markers, color the background first and save her white suit areas for last to keep them crisp. Consider leaving some areas of her suit completely white rather than shading everything.
Who’ll love this?
Teens who enjoy superhero content will appreciate the action pose and modern character design. Anyone who likes working with contrasting color schemes will find this especially satisfying. It’s also nice for comic book fans who want something more contemporary than the traditional red-and-blue Spider-Man imagery.
